History

Whatever your sound production requirements, Mid South Audio can help you each step of the way.

Mid South Audio was founded in 1989, in Georgetown, Delaware by Sussex County native Kevin Short, with intentions of being a full service Event Production company and Recording Studio. It was an expansion of an audio installation company which began in 1983.

In the beginning MSA offered sound services to small local events and bands and the studio was a 16 track analog facility. Now, 28 years later, MSA provides production services for large scale national acts from New Hampshire to Florida and as far west as Texas and continues to provide event production services to local events and bands. The studio is now a state of the art digital facility which has recorded Grammy Award winning artists along with local musicians. MSA installs not only audio gear, but also video and lighting as well.

In 1999 Mid South Audio began proudly supplying audio services for The Historic Avalon Theatre in downtown Easton, MD. Visit them on the web at http://www.avalontheatre.com.

In 2007 Mid South Audio began proudly supplying audio services for The Joshua M. Freeman Foundation at the Freeman Stage at Bayside in Selbyville, DE. Visit them on the web at http://www.freemanstage.org.

Lighting

In 2006 Mid South Audio branched into the lighting business by acquiring three existing lighting companies to quickly increase our lighting inventory. The goal was to be able to offer our clients the same professional lighting services that they have become accustomed to from our audio services. In 2013 we expanded our lighting inventory with the purchase of over 70 intelligent lighting fixtures.

Mission

From its beginnings as a small sound company, MSA has now expanded into a multifaceted entertainment business and we plan to continue providing professional quality audio, lighting, and production services at an affordable price.
